Problem : Solve 8y – 4 – 7y = 11

Solution :
Step : 1
Subtract the like terms
8y – 7y – 4 = 11
y – 4 = 11

Step : 2
Add 4 on either side of the equation
y – 4 + 4 = 11 + 4
y = 15

So the solution : y = 15
